I remember reading an interview with him a few years ago. He said that when he was young his father made him build a huge wall in the backyard. And it seemed impossible, but his father made him keep going. Eventually (it took the whole summer) he got it finished, and he realized then and there, that if he put his mind to something and persisted, he could accomplish even the most intimidating, difficult things.
